Defensive Security LLC can assist a resident of New Jersey in obtaining a Non-Resident Florida Concealed Carry Permit. This course involves the discussion of some of the legal terms and conditions in carrying a concealed firearm, as well as covering reasons to use and when NOT to consider using lethal force.
The course is about 1-2 hours long and includes the completion of the application for the Florida license.
You will be responsible, after the course, to obtain a set of fingerprints on the form that will be given to you during the course. You will either have these taken at your local police station, or you may have to go to an outsource facility to have them taken electronically. Your local police station will have this answer.
A person possessing a Florida Concealed Carry Permit, as a non-resident, may carry their firearm as a concealed firearm in approximately 30 states, NOT NEW JERSEY. Use this link to view Florida Reciprocity Laws. http://licgweb.doacs.state.fl.us/news/concealed_carry.html
It is UP TO YOU to be familiar with the laws of the state in which you want to carry a handgun! Make sure you are familiar with these laws by checking them yourself. Don't accept any third party response to your question to be correct. Check yourself! This is important for carry as well as transport of any firearm. Not knowing can lead to much grief answering to a prosecutor, not to mention legal fees and possible fines and/or jail.
The cost for this course: $75
